Sherif El-Refai is a committed pharmacist currently working in Gainesville, Fl while working on obtaining his MBA degree from the University of Florida. Initiating his vocation as a pharmaceutical professional in 2011, Mr. El-Refai has garnered an extensive medical background, serving in several capacities along the east coast. Sherif El-Refai completed his pre-pharmacy studies with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007, remained at the University to receive his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2010, and ultimately earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the institution’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2011.

Prior to completing his graduate studies at the University of North Carolina, Sherif El-Refai held a number of clerkships with pharmacies and medical institutions across North Carolina. During his undergraduate education, Mr. El-Refai was introduced to the practical medical profession through his service to WakeMed Hospitals in 2008, and acquired his background in community pharmacy operations while with Kroger Pharmacy in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. Serving within several medical positions, he has been exposed to a range of medical concentrations, including Hematology/Oncology, ambulatory care, ICU trauma, and impatient medicine, among other disciplines.

Sherif El-Refai is an active contributor within his profession, providing research and writing resources for peer-reviewed journals and medical publications. He has facilitated a number of industry presentations regarding topics such as Susceptibility Alleles for AIDS, Ewing Sarcoma, Hypercalcemia of Malignancy, and Diabetic Nephropathy. Mr. El-Refai is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists, and the American Pharmacists Association. He is a board certified pharmacist and holds additional certifications in Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, Anticoagulation, Hypertension and Lipids, and Diabetes.
