The American Pharmacists Association’s Awards and Honors Program

An experienced pharmaceutical professional, Sherif El-Refai currently focuses on lung cancer research as an oncology pharmacist at the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky. Throughout his career, Sherif El-Refai has worked to enhance his knowledge and skills through his continued academic studies and memberships in organizations such as the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

In its efforts to stimulate research, foster innovation, and promote excellence in the pharmacy profession, APhA oversees an Awards and Honors Program, which offers an array of awards in three categories: Profession-wide, Practitioner, and Scientific. Since it was founded, the program has recognized the contributions of hundreds of individuals and institutions and has grown to become the most comprehensive program of its kind in the pharmaceutical industry.

APhA is currently accepting nominations for its 2016 Awards and Honors Program from now until September 1st through its online submission system. All award recipients will be notified in December and recognized at APhA’s next Annual Meeting and Exposition, which will be held March 4-7, 2016, in Baltimore.
